Auto Ribeiro started transforming hearses in a 300 m2 garage, which soon became too small for the volume of orders and necessitated the acquisition of a warehouse of 1000m2 .While continuing to transform hearses, the need was felt to innovate and explore a new market.

To this end, the company founder, António Ribeiro, decided to alter the business direction and develop an industrial complex. In 1986 the company started manufacturing ambulances, resulting from an analysis of the market and its growing needs.

Today, Auto Ribeiro has a factory of more than 30.000m2 with more than 200 employees worldwide, is involved in diverse areas such as health, public and private security, commerce and business, and support for people with reduced mobility, and does business in 3 continents- Europe, Asia and Africa- exporting to various countries.

Auto Ribeiro is fully equipped to transform a variety of professional and personalized vehicles, focusing on the needs and demands of each client.

Auto Ribeiro invests in innovation, development, safety and quality, always based on a policy of social and environmental sustainability, and principles of honesty and transparency in dealings with the stakeholders.

AR France (Auto Ribeiro France)

Auto Ribeiro Lda lauched ARFrance in novembre 2013.  Meanwhile the french branch of AR is becoming an important player in France. The headquarters are located in Lyon and at the moment the company is focusing in the Medical Transport Services Market, in the private sector

ARCD (ARCD Africa SA)

One of our biggest projects is the new factory in Senegal. Along with ACD (Afrique Conception Distribution), we are building in Diamniadio (a government approved modern city conceptualized to ease the residential and commercial clutter in Dakar) a new assembly line that will cover the market in Western Africa.

The Project of the Diamniadio assembly line is set to open in the last quarter of 2022
