Warranty

Auto Ribeiro, Lda., in accordance with the provisions of Decree-Law no. 84/2021, of October 18th, ensures a warranty period of 3 (three) years, counting from the purchasing date of the product for a nonprofessional use except for batteries and peripherals whose warranty is 6 (six) months.

Auto Ribeiro, Lda., guarantees, for goods intended for professional use, a guarantee of 24 (twenty-four) months. For warranty activation purposes, products that present non-conformities arising from material, production, manufacturing, or assembly failures are considered. For the warranty purposes, it’s necessary to carry out a technical analysis that demonstrates that the goods are not in compliance and that they are within the deadlines for exercising the rights under the legal guarantee.

For the quality verification of the goods whose warranty has been activated are considered the results obtained in our facilities or by assistance centres authorized by Auto Ribeiro, Lda. and, in case of divergence, prevail the results of the mentioned centres. It’s necessary to present the purchase invoice for the good, or document proving its acquisition and delivery, together with the non-conforming good, to prove its origin, as well as that it is covered by the warranty period. In accordance with the legislation in force, Auto Ribeiro, Lda., to restore the conformity of the product, may decide to repair or replace the product or its components.

The following are excluded from the warranty:

– Periodic maintenance and repairs or replacement of parts resulting from misuse or rapid wear;
– Consumables (components that may need periodic maintenance during the life of the product);
– Wear parts (wheels, shock absorbers, brakes, rubber grips, batteries, among others).

The warranty may be rejected if:

– It is found that the non-compliance results from incorrect use or incorrect handling of the product;
– Non-compliance results from lack of maintenance or incorrect maintenance;
– The non-compliance results from the failure of preventive maintenance to be carried out annually in accordance with the provisions of the “Conversion and Maintenance Book”, delivered simultaneously with the vehicle to the costumer;
– Caused by the The non-compliance is caused by transportation or any testing operation of the product;
– Non-compliance arises from the use of chemical products and/or cleaning products not suitable for the good in question;
– Non-compliance arises from the use of components not supplied with the product;
– The non-compliance results from installations carried out by third parties not authorized by Auto Ribeiro, Lda.;
– The non-compliance results from transformations carried out on the product and subsequent to the delivery by Auto Ribeiro, Lda.;
– The non-compliance results from the installation of accessories by third parties and not authorized by Auto Ribeiro, Lda.; and non-compliance results from normal wear and tear due to use.

Whenever a production failure is detected, both in the material and in the functioning of the product, Auto Ribeiro, Lda. undertakes to identify all affected products and to contact its customers to replace or repair the defective product, what is usually called a Recall.

Auto Ribeiro, Lda. ensures, for a period of 10 (ten) years after the introduction on the market of the last unit of a certain good, the parts necessary for its repair or replacement, even if subject to budgeting and payment by the Customer, in accordance with the provisions of nº 1 of article 21 of DL 84/2021, of October 18th. Pursuant to the provisions of nº2 of article 21 of DL n.º 84/2021, of October 18th, Auto Ribeiro, Lda. guarantees, during a period of 10 (ten) years after the introduction of the last unit of the good on the market, the provision of after-sales technical assistance, in accordance with market conditions and which may be subject to budgeting and payment by the Customer.

Defects or vehicle breakdowns from the 1st stage manufacturer are excluded from the Warranty.

The general conditions of this guarantee can be changed by special conditions of specific contracts or any campaigns in force, but always for the benefit of the Customer.
